What a way to get outside our comfort zones – and fast! As co-founders of EvolveMe, a career growth company for women’s career reinvention, we’re always looking to “try on” new opportunities. We had the best time filming four streaming TV episodes with Better than Gossip this spring!
There’s nothing like work travel for the first time in two years. (Even if it was fairly local – we’ll take it!) We soaked up all the women supporting women vibes on the BTG set with amazing fellow entrepreneurs invested in each other’s success as female founders!
We’re evolving right along with you. It’s true – whether you’re job searching or building your business – career reinvention is better together!
We’re putting ourselves out there – role modeling that you can too! This experience was one for our bucket list.
We work with so many women who‘ve had success in their careers, yet they still have a fear of standing out and speaking up. This keeps them playing small – and keeps their gifts and talents from being shared with the world. Usually, it’s rooted in wanting things to be perfect before taking that first step.
But what if you bet on your future? What if you could make a powerful impact using all your experience, perspective, and knowledge.. All the skills you’ve developed that have led you here.
If you could let go of perfectionism and replace it with honoring progress, what would you do right now?
We filmed a TV show – yup. Before we felt entirely ready. Before we had it figured out perfectly. And we’d do it again. In a heartbeat.
How about you? Would you:
Start a business? Ask for a raise? A promotion? More flexibility? Speak up more at meetings? Take a class to learn something new? Head back to the paid workforce?
Think about what you would say to a friend or colleague who was thinking of pursuing these opportunities. Would you tell them not to make a move unless they had everything mapped out perfectly?
